The La Rochelle Marathon
This year, the La Rochelle marathon will take place on Sunday 27 November. It is an unmissable event for all marathoners and running enthusiasts.
Named the Serge Vigot Marathon, the La Rochelle Marathon has existed for 30 years and brings together marathoners, runners, companies and spectators. Today it is the second largest marathon in France after the Paris Marathon.
The La Rochelle Marathon is open to experienced runners but also to those who are a little less experience… Indeed, it is possible to register for different races: the marathon, the 10 kilometres, the duo marathon, the company challenge (choose your 3 favourite colleagues and register to take up the challenge). The La Rochelle Marathon also offers races for the disabled. You can find all the information you need to register on the La Rochelle Marathon website.
If you don’t want to register for one of these races but you like the “marathon atmosphere”, take part in the leg warmer. This is a jog open to everyone and takes place on Saturday 26 November, the day before the marathon. This run is open to everyone and you don’t need to register. It is a 4 kilometre run that will allow you to discover the beautiful city of La Rochelle. The association offers a snack at the end of the run. You are an association? This year, the La Rochelle Marathon invites you to take part in the leg warmer as a team! The 3 winning associations will win a prize. The objective: to form the biggest team and be original! This is a great way to have fun and to promote the association you represent.
